Hello! Last week I wrote about how the Australian Homes blend indoor and outdoor (and how nice it would be for me to live in one of those houses). Well fret not, it seems that, that is possible here in the northern climates as well. This house in Denmark does that just right. I found this house while reading this website kmldesign. From the pictures, who would say that this is in Scandinavia!

This solarium is so gorgeous and that lemon tree is just marvelous. I love plants in general but some plants and trees are really special, like lemon trees and olive trees. I bought a small lemon tree this winter and it is sprouting now. I hope to see the lemons coming out soon and feel my living room (I have no solarium) with a fresh lemony smell.

This house won the competition “Denmark’s most beautiful home” in 2012. No doubt it won the award. While the rest of the house is indeed beautiful, the solarium just can not be beaten. The best I have ever seen, especially in a northern climate. Such abundance of plants and the lush green forest vibe is an aspiring one. More importantly, it doesn’t give that cluttered or “junglow” feeling that is associated with lots of plants in a small space. This is just right.
