Hello and welcome. I always feel inspired by Swedish design. I often wonder how the Swedes are so good at connecting nature with design and this villa by Lake Aspen is such a good example. Lake Aspen is merely 20 kilometes from Gothenburg, Sweden and the region around the lake was primarily developed in the 1920s as an orderly idyllic residential community. The central idea was to enjoy the pleasures of rural life without compromising the amenities of a city life.
The incredible view from the house is all one needs to lead a relaxing, calming life. Far away from the hustle and bustle of modern day living, at the same time so close to amenities, makes it a perfect place to raise children. I can only wonder how happy I could be if I had that lake view all day long. Does it get boring after a while? Nah, I don’t think so. It would help me to be more grounded and make me understand how nature can be so healing. From all the windows, you can see some part of the lake or the greenery. What else would I need?
