It’s a wonderful day today with the sun shining brightly. If you read this blog regularly or have read even a few posts, you might have understood I am such a sun worshipper. The gorgeous amazing sunshine can change my mood in a heartbeat. While looking out, I realize summer is almost approaching and it’s time to open our doors and windows and let the fresh air in. I am lucky to have a backyard as well as a balcony on our attic floor. Last summer and this winter we converted our attic to my daughter’s bedroom cum study room. It’s a huge room (I am yet to finish the room and take the pictures) with sunlight streaming in all directions. However, the balcony outside doesn’t do justice. We have still not cleared out the leftover debris from our previous renovations and right now it’s a catch all place for anything that doesn’t belong. What a shame. That led me think how we can do a makeover and create a small home oasis.
Right, a balcony is indeed a home oasis, especially if you live in the city and lack any outdoor place. The picture above shows quite a big outdoor space to have enough space for a table along with chairs and some decoration. That would be lovely to have. However, I guess many of us, city-dwellers, would be lucky to have any outdoor space at all. Luckily, we can convert even a teeny-tiny space into a relaxing home oasis. Here are 10 such ideas.

These are all real balconies for real people and quite small as you can see. However, ecah of them reflect a zone of tranquility, a place to unwind at the end of a busy day, especially if you had been working from home or staying at home for lockdown. A little haven to relax and see the world go by, this is what an oasis is, Isn’t it?
