Most of my life, I have lived in urban settings, at least in suburbs and I have always wondered what it is to lead a rural life in a country house. I do not know if I ever will be able to live in a rural setting, I definitely know though how beautiful it can be for some people when I read about this country cottage in rural Victoria. This cottage belongs to Liz Bell and her family, who moved to the goldmining town of Newstead in Victoria. She says, “she was in search of a place that reflected the rural way she was raised: down to earth with lots of fresh air.” Wow! I love that concept.
After looking at all these gorgeous picture, I feel like moving here for a life that is “down to earth with lots of fresh air.” Fresh air is something that we miss so much in urban settings and down to earth life is rare to find. We are competing all the time with others and even with ourselves to keep up with the Joneses. But doesn’t that just add to stress and does nothing else much? Perhaps my quest or image for a relaxing and peaceful life is in a rural setting amongst the trees and fresh air. How I would love that life. You can read more about this cottage and Liz here.
